We came, we saw, we partied !!!
At the moment everybody is on vacation and there is not a lot of news concerning the ongoing fight by Boudoir Bizarre against the City of Zaanstad to save our, (and maybe other) Fetish and Kinky parties from a complete ban from existence.
We've been to court once already and have for now a ruling in our favor. In simple terms the verdict was that the City of Zaandstad had not been able to prove Boudoir Bizarre is a Pornographic event, nor had they been able to convince the Judge, Fetishists, Kinky Crowd and alike are a hightened risk in interaction with non-kinky people having their own night out. This in fact is the main reason for a ban on Fetish and Kinky events in the city, according to a couple of ill informed civil servants working for the City of Zaanstad. The rules they made up to prevent problems, (that so far never ever, ever, ever have occurred) are what we're protesting against. We do see the need for regulation, but these should be rules that actually have something to do with reality.
We are happy to have received an invitation from the mayor of the City of Zaanstad to sit down and discuss what to do next. A scheduled hearing has been cancelled by the city in favor of this meeting of the minds and there seems to be good will on both sides to come to an understanding. So we look to the future with good hope that Boudoir Bizarre will be partying at De Kade for a long time to come.
